CELL PHONES AND TEST TAKING
As per the Academic Honesty Policy, Section 9.3, cell phones should not be accessible to students while they are writing a test. While completing a test in the test room, students are to leave their cell phones in a basket near the teacher. If the cell phone is visible for any reason during the test period, this would be a breach of the rules and would mean that the test is over and must be handed in immediately.
The first offence would mean a grade of zero on the test.
A second offence would mean an F in the course.
A third offence would result in the student being withdrawn from the program. –
Note: Math AU students must present proof to the Math Professor of their IEP (Individual Education Plan) or PsychEd Assessment to permit the use of a calculator for Math Test Taking.
